Poke Etc. – Pacific Beach
Nice location 2 blocks from the beach.

The bad part is parking is tricky.

It appeared there were a few spots. Actually the spots are either reserved for other businesses or 15 minutes. I got lucky while driving around and noticed somebody leaving their spot on the street a block away.

I tried the beef ribs plate.

The ribs were tender like they were boiled. Without the sauce I did not like the flavor as the beef tasted boiled. With the sweet and tangy sauce the beef was ok. I prefer beef ribs smoked or grilled. Rice was moist and I liked the mild flavor. I didn’t like the seaweed sprinkled on top.

They don’t have a drink machine so you can buy a drink or bring your own.

Staff was nice and efficient.

That’s great they have free poke samples. Would you go back?

I would go back to try the kalua pork but I would not get the beef ribs again.

I’ve only eaten at the original National City location. It looks like they’ve condensed the Hawaii style menu and have added more Filipino items.

I love the food at the original location. Alot of the Hawaii style dishes you noticed are missing are among the dishes I love.
