Crispy Fish Tacos

I noticed there was a coming soon sign for Crispy Fish Tacos next to the Eat Crispy Burger sign. I visited after the coming soon banner was taken down.

I was happy to see the owners Ramzy and Angela were working. I first met them at their original Eat Crispy Burger location in Encinitas. Now they have a sprawling burger empire. Congrats to them and their entry to the taco business.

For the tacos you have a choice of flour or corn tortilla. Flour tortilla had a little crunch from time on the flat top. I liked the mild flavor and soft texture with a little crunch. Corn tortilla was soft and had a light corn flavor. They both had a nice fresh aroma but I liked the corn tortilla a bit more due to the corn flavor.

Grilled fish taco was made with pollock which was delicate and flaky with a mild flavor. I like the flavor from the haddock and the light seasoning.

Carne asada taco featured tender beef which was delicious from being marinated with Angela’s recipe.

Shrimp taco had lots of little shrimp. I liked the flavor of the shrimp and the light seasoning. Shrimp had a nice snap to them.

The 4 tacos were a huge meal for me. 3 would have been a good size dinner while 2 would make for a light lunch. All the tacos were very good but my favorite was the carne asada taco which had high quality beef with a delicious marinate which had a hint of sweetness. Angela and Ramzy were very friendly and happy to see me again. Customer service was excellent and speedy.

2nd visit I tried tacos with a combination of meats.
