La Palapa Authentic Mexican Food has an interesting location in a tiny strip mall in the middle of Bay Ho.
Carnitas taco came with 2 corn tortillas.
I was not able to eat the corn tortillas. They were dry and I did not like the mild corn flavor, Carnitas was dry and parts were crunchy. Flavor was of salty pork.
Carne asada taco came with 2 dry corn tortillas. Carne asada was dry and not tender. Flavor was mostly salty beef.
The meats from these 2 tacos tasted like it was cooked yesterday and reheated. Definitely lacking fresh flavors and seemed like it was cooked twice.
Crispy beef taco was the only taco I liked. Tortilla was greasy and crunchy fresh out of the fryer.
Beef was tender and moist. Loved the flavor.
They don’t have complimentary water here so buy a drink or bring your own water. Service was very fast and efficient.

Went there when they first opened in 2019….thought it was so bad I never returned.

That’s amazing they have been in business since 2019. I’m guessing the beef taco I liked they bought frozen and fried it.
