Habit Burger & Grill

In the days of my youth there used to be a dirt field here.  I walked through it to get to the mall after school.  A gas station came later.  Now it’s a burger joint called the Habit.  I’ve visited many Habits in San Diego but this one is my favorite. 

When manager Ann is working, the hospitality is excellent.  She always greets me warmly and is happy to see me each time I visit. 

I’m impressed she has memorized my order.

I always order the double char on sourdough with just tomato.  I added bacon which was an extra charge of $2 with tax. 

Sourdough has a nice char with a bit of butter.  Love the sourdough flavor.  Bacon is crispy with a delicious smoky and salty flavor.  Beef has a tasty beefy flavor with a hint of salt and pepper.  Great tasting burger.

Onion rings were hot and crunchy.  Panko batter had that salty fried batter flavor.  Pretty good but I prefer beer battered rings.

Fries were crispy with a tasty fried potato flavor.

Ice is crystal clear and keeps my drink cold without any added flavors.

Soda water is bubbly and refreshing.
