Heavy’s Smokehouse
I like Heavy’s Smokehouse location inside a liquor store. There is a multitude of drink options while you wait for your food to be ready. When I first visited I noticed they offered a Dino Rib.
It’s a special that has very limited availability. I was able to get one at 11:10am.
Currently there is an option of a small dino rib for $25 or a large for $50. Large dino rib was a huge piece of beef. 2 meals worth for me.
Rib was tender and juicy. I was impressed as this is the most tender and juicy beef rib I have had. The smoky flavor from being smoked and the salty/peppery flavor from the dry rub was amazing. I had some sticker shock from the $50 price tag but it’s not bad considering it’s only $25/meal.
Staff was very nice and efficient.
The owner was very friendly and showed me his smoker which has white oak and red oak inside.
Business is good and he has a new larger smoker on order so in the future he can have more dino ribs and other bbq available.
